Match Report:
The Jersey under 10 squad entered two teams into the Marlow festival on
29th March. Both of the teams had a successful day as they came through
their pool games unbeaten.
The A Team did not concede a try during the Pool stage with wins
against Marlow (1-0) and Aylesbury (3-0) and two very intense 0-0 draws
against the very competitive London Irish and Tring sides. The long day
and warm weather seemed to have taken its toll as Jersey went into the
Shield Final where the team lost out to Teddington.

The B Team had wins against Marlow Gold (5-1), Guernsey (1-0), Marlow
Blacks (2-1) and High Wycombe (5-0) and proceeded to go through to the
Cup Final as group winners where they played Teddington B’s. Jersey lost
a hard fought final 4-0 to finish 2nd overall in the B team tournament.

Lead Coach, Phil Dennett, said that both teams should put aside the
disappointment of losing their respective finals. He advised the teams
to reflect on the fact that they had performed very well and to a high
standard against other teams who have far more experience of competitive
match situations and tournaments. He felt that the performance of the
teams was very encouraging in the lead up to the Siam Cup. The Jersey
