Grouville Primary School U8s show off their new kit at the JRFC Academy

Grouville school's tag rugby teams showed off their new kit at the rugby club on Sunday 11^th December and enjoyed four close matches against the Rugby Club Academy teams.

The new kit was bought for the school by the Parish of Grouville, with Constable Murphy keen to support rugby at the school. The kit made the morning a special sporting event for the 15 children who played.

The children's teacher, John Carnegie, explained "The kit made the children even more excited about representing their school and with the interest that the kit has generated I'm sure we will have new children wanting to join our club sessions next term."

"I'm very thankful to the Parish of Grouville for buying this kit, as it will make playing for the school more of a privilege and will encourage more children to play competitive sport."

Roger Nightingale, who is lead coach for the under eights at the Academy, and has also been helping to coach the Grouville children, was delighted with the morning. "It's great for the Academy teams to play against different opposition and the Grouville sides are competitive against all the rugby club squads. The standard of play has been excellent all morning and the new Grouville kit looked really smart."
